Transportation

No matter the medium of transportation, it is reasonably easy to move around in Fairbanks. Fairbanks is very transit friendly. For instance, there is Eglinton West Station - Northbound Platform and Eglinton West Station - Southbound Platform on the Line 1 (Yonge-University). There are about 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. It is also very convenient for people walking to get around in Fairbanks; all daily needs can be carried out without having to resort to a vehicle, and various businesses are quite close by. Travelling by bicycle is easy in this area.

Services

In Fairbanks, families will generally be able to get to daycares and schools by walking. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. With respect to eating, it is typically practical for property owners in Fairbanks to buy general and specialty groceries on foot. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood occurred prior to the 1960s. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
