Located within the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area, Gemstone is a neighbourhood in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Transportation

The preferred approach to navigate Gemstone is very often a car. It is a reasonably short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in Gemstone, and it is very convenient to park. However, the public transit service in Gemstone is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not very suitable for people who travel by walking because many day-to-day needs are difficult to meet without a car. Gemstone is also not especially bicycling-friendly as the cycling network is rather limited, and there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave.

Services
