Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Jefferson is a neighbourhood in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Transportation

Jefferson is a fairly good part of Richmond Hill for getting around by car. It is very easy to park. On the other hand, the public transit network in this area is rather poor. Nonetheless, property owners can rely on Yonge / 19th-Gamble and Yonge / Jefferson Sdrd with access to the blue | VIVA BLUE. The neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most residences. Jefferson is not especially bike-friendly as bicycling is rendered strenuous by the often hilly topography, and the cycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive. A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are also not very well-suited for walking as few daily errands can be run on foot.

Services

Some, but not all, house buyers in Jefferson will live within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. A limited number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. Regarding education, it is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Jefferson.
