The suburb of Kanata is part of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, which is situated in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

The best means of transportation in this area is usually driving. It is easy to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, travelling by public transit is sometimes challenging in Kanata. Nevertheless, there are about 40 bus lines traversing the suburb, and bus stops are typically around the corner. This part of Ottawa is not especially suitable for people who prefer to get around on foot as few daily errands can be run without a car. In contrast, Kanata is fairly bike-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes.
