Transportation

Carleton University allows property owners to travel by various means of transportation. With Carleton Station on the Trillium Line, and a few nearby bus lines, the fairly good public transit access makes transit a viable option for many. Carleton University is also reasonably conducive to walking; meeting daily needs is easy on foot. Riding a bicycle is especially prevalent in Carleton University as this neighbourhood is home to a reasonably good cycling infrastructure.

Services

It is occasionally practical for home buyers in Carleton University to travel to the closest grocery store by walking. Nonetheless, reaching the nearest pharmacy and consequently some staple foods is usually convenient. This neighbourhood is a good place in which to eat out, and a small number of coffee shops is available as well. As far as education is concerned, this part of the city does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, it can be difficult to walk to daycares from homes for sale in this neighbourhood.

Character

Carleton University offers a good selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant feel. It is easy to access public green spaces from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to relax in. Lastly, this area is relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of few pedestrians, although noise levels are higher closer to the railway line.

Housing

In Carleton University, around three quarters of dwellings are large apartment buildings, but single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. About three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters while owners occupy the remainder. This area experienced its biggest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available homes are from this time period.
