Transportation

Barrhaven is fairly car friendly. It is easy to access a parking spot. However, Barrhaven is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a multitude of rapid transit stations. There are approximately 20 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Barrhaven is bicycling-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes, and there are not many slopes to confront cyclists. Traveling as a pedestrian is not especially feasible for home buyers in Barrhaven as few day-to-day needs can be carried out without a vehicle.

Services

It is convenient to get to the closest grocery store as a pedestrian from anywhere in Barrhaven. There are also over 50 restaurants and coffee shops in Barrhaven. As far as education is concerned, in this neighbourhood, families will usually be able to reach daycares and primary schools without a vehicle. However, high schools are not particularly numerous and therefore not always within walking distance. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.

This area experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
