The neighbourhood of Rural Area is part of the city of Oshawa, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Oshawa metropolitan area.

Transportation

Rural Area is an extraordinarily good part of Oshawa for travelling by car. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, commuting by public transit is very difficult in Rural Area. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines. Walking is not very convenient for residents in Rural Area as most daily needs are very impractical to meet without a vehicle. This part of the city is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is quite bad.
