Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Falgarwood is a neighbourhood within Oakville, Ontario.

Transportation

Falgarwood is reasonably convenient for those who like to get around by walking; running daily errands is easy without a car. The bicycle is a fairly good means of transportation in Falgarwood because the cycling network is reasonably extensive. Driving is usually the favoured method to navigate this area. It is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in Falgarwood, and it is convenient to park. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in this part of the town as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, residents are served by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are very convenient to reach without a vehicle from most homes for sale in this area. However, Falgarwood does not contain any high schools. Families have the choice between public and private elementary schools. As far as eating is concerned, it is generally an option for house buyers in Falgarwood to do their groceries on foot. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

Character

The character of Falgarwood is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. This area is especially quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
