Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Ninth Line is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

Ninth Line is especially car friendly. Most homes for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is difficult in Ninth Line. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Despite the fact that cycling is better in certain pockets than others, biking is challenging in Ninth Line because the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are quite a few hills. It is also inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this area because very few common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle.

Services

In this neighbourhood, parents and their children will often be able to access primary schools on foot. However, this neighbourhood does not contain any high schools. In terms of food, house buyers in Ninth Line will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away.

Character

There is a vast selection of green spaces in Ninth Line. Parks are very well-distributed and there are around 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in, making them easy to reach from a large number of locations in this area. This area is an excellent neighbourhood for those who don't mind some noise, as traffic during busy hours can occasionally be bothersome.

Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in Ninth Line. Most of the housing growth in this part of the city has occurred following the year 2000. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented.
