Meadowvale is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by bicycle is easy in Meadowvale as it is a flat ride to most locations, and Meadowvale is home to reasonably good cycling infrastructure. Traveling by foot is also moderately practical for property owners in Meadowvale; many common errands can be run without a vehicle. This area is not an especially pleasant part of Mississauga for moving around by public transit. Nonetheless, rapid transit stations, including Meadowvale Town Centre Bus Terminal Platform J, Meadowvale Town Centre Drop Off and Winston Churchill Blvd / Britannia Rd with access to the Meadowvale Express, are not very far away from the majority of houses in the neighbourhood. There are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. However, driving is often the preferred way to move around in Meadowvale. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is easy to park.

Services

It is typically possible for home buyers in Meadowvale to buy their groceries without a car. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about close by restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, parents and their children will value that no matter where their home is located in this part of the city, schools and daycares are nearby. Along with public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools.

Character

Meadowvale is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. There are over 50 parks close by for residents to relax in, such as Windrush Woods and Lake Wabukayne, and they are very well-distributed, making them very easy to reach. This area is also very good for those who need quiet surroundings, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. In this neighbourhood, around 40% of buildings are single detached homes, but large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About half of properties in this part of Mississauga were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
