Erindale is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Erindale is a fairly convenient part of Mississauga for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. Erindale is also rather bicycling-friendly. Commuting by transit can be occasionally challenging in this part of Mississauga by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there is the Erindale on the Milton. There are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are generally around the corner. In contrast, Erindale is car friendly. It is easy to access a parking spot.

Services

House buyers in this neighbourhood will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short stroll away. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity. When it comes to education, it is a reasonably short distance to get to daycares and schools from any location in Erindale. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools.

Character

The character of Erindale is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Public green spaces, such as Riverwood and Woodlands Elementary, are very well-spread out and there are about 30 of them nearby for residents to explore, resulting in them being very easy to get to from most locations within this area. This neighbourhood is very quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing roughly one third of dwellings in Erindale, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and townhouses. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing stock is from this era.
