Part of the Greater London metropolitan area, Oakridge is a neighbourhood within London, Ontario.

Transportation

Cars are a fairly good medium of transportation in Oakridge. It is very easy to park. However, Oakridge is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Oakridge is reasonably bicycling-friendly. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not especially suitable for those who travel by foot as running daily errands is sometimes challenging by walking.

Services

Accessing the nearest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the city. There are also a few opportunities for those who value close by restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, in this neighbourhood, parents and their kids will usually be able to access both primary and secondary schools on foot. Besides public schools, Oakridge offers private elementary schools. In contrast, it can be challenging to reach daycares as a pedestrian.

Character

Oakridge offers a calm environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. Most locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, including Sifton Bog Esa and Oxford Pcp, since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to explore. This area is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
