Transportation

It is convenient for people walking to move around in this part of Kitchener; many day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle. It is also easy to travel by bicycle in Highland West as there are a fair number of bike lanes. Cars are a very good transportation option in Highland West. It is convenient to come across a place to park. However, Highland West is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close by.

Services

The nearest supermarket in this neighbourhood is typically only a rather short walk away. There are also a few opportunities for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity. With regards to education, parents and their schoolchildren will find that no matter where their home is located in this neighbourhood, primary schools are nearby. In contrast, there are only a limited number of high schools and consequently they can be an extended stroll away. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.
