Victoria Hills is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario, which is situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Victoria Hills is a fairly pleasant part of Kitchener for pedestrians; many common errands can be run on foot, and various businesses are reasonably nearby. Victoria Hills is also conducive to bicycling since there are a good number of bike lanes. The car is often the preferred approach to navigate this neighbourhood. It is easy to park. In contrast, Victoria Hills is not an especially pleasant part of Kitchener for getting around by public transit. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner.

Services

In this part of the city, families will generally be able to access primary schools and daycares on foot. However, this area does not contain any high schools. When it comes to eating, it is especially convenient to get to the closest supermarket on foot from anywhere in Victoria Hills. A small number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.

Character

The character of Victoria Hills is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of the city are quite low, as the streets are usually calm - although that is not the case closer to the railway line. Lastly, green spaces, such as Gzowski Park and Filsinger Park West, are very well-located and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to relax in, making them very easy to reach.

Housing

About one quarter of buildings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Victoria Hills, but small apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About 45% of properties in this part of Kitchener were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
