Part of the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area, Riverside is a neighbourhood within Cambridge, Ontario.

Transportation

Riverside is very car friendly. It is convenient to come across a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are rather easy to access from any home in Riverside. In contrast, the transit system in Riverside is fairly poor. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally very close by. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Riverside, although running common errands is convenient without needing to get in a car. On the other hand, the bike is a reasonably good means of transportation in this part of Cambridge.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are convenient to get to by foot from any location in Riverside. However, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. With regards to food, a fraction of house buyers in this part of Cambridge may be able to access the closest grocery store by foot, while others will have to turn to another means of transportation. Residents of Riverside benefit from a few restaurants as well.

Character

Riverside offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. The noise levels in this area are low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around Highway 401 or one of the railway lines. Lastly, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to discover, including Riverside Park (Preston), making them easy to get to.

Housing
