Transportation

Travelling by car is very convenient in this part of the city. It is very easy to find a place to park, and most real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401. In contrast, the public transit service in this neighbourhood is not especially frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. Most houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not very conducive to those who travel by foot since carrying out day-to-day needs is inconvenient. On the other hand, the bicycle is a reasonably good mode of transportation in this neighbourhood as the cycling infrastructure is comprehensive.

Services

Some, but not all, home buyers in this neighbourhood will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket. Residents benefit from a few restaurants and cafes. With respect to education, families will value the proximity to primary schools, which are within walking distance from most properties for sale in this part of the city. In contrast, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood.

Character

Lower Doon offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This area is fairly good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as the streets tend to be reasonably calm - however noise can be bothersome near Highway 401. Finally, there are about 10 public green spaces close by for residents to check out, including Water Treatment Centre and Willowlake Park Greenway, and they are very well-spread out, which makes them very easy to reach from most locations in Lower Doon.

Housing
