Forest Heights is a community within Kitchener, Ontario, which is situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. It is convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 7 & 8, are reasonably easy to reach from any location in Forest Heights. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in Forest Heights. Nevertheless, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. This part of the city is rather bike-friendly since the cycling network is fairly good. However, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Forest Heights, although many daily needs are easy to meet without a car.

Services

Primary schools are straightforward to get to by foot from most properties for sale in this part of Kitchener. In contrast, parents may find it challenging for their children to access high schools by walking. With regards to eating, accessing the nearest grocery store as pedestrians is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in Forest Heights. A limited variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

The character of Forest Heights is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. This part of Kitchener is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Lastly, there are approximately 40 public green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, like Forest Heights Community Trail (Hydro) and Sandrock Greenway, and they are very well-situated, resulting in them being very easy to get to from most locations within this area.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of dwellings in Forest Heights, and the remaining properties are mainly townhouses. Most of the housing growth in this community took place between 1960 and 1980. This part of Kitchener offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
