It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 8, from anywhere in this area, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot. However, public transit users may have few options in Allendale by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually nearby. Cycling is at times difficult in this part of the city because there are quite a few hills, and there are few bike lanes. This neighbourhood is also not very suitable for walking as very few daily errands can be run on foot.
