Rideau Heights is a neighbourhood within Kingston, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Kingston metropolitan area.

Transportation

Rideau Heights is especially car friendly. Most properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is very convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, Rideau Heights is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. It is occasionally difficult for people walking to move around in Rideau Heights because few daily needs can be carried out on foot.

Services

A grocery store is usually reachable within a rather short walk from anywhere in Rideau Heights. Residents benefit from approximately 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well. When it comes to education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach daycares and primary schools from anywhere in this area. However, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood.

Character

Rideau Heights is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Parks are easy to access since there are about 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in. This part of Kingston is also reasonably good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially near the railway line.
