Located within the Greater Kingston metropolitan area, Alcan is a neighbourhood in Kingston, Ontario.

Transportation

Cycling is convenient in this area as it is an even ride to most locations. This part of the city is also rather suitable for people who like to get around on foot; running daily errands is easy without a car. The car is very often the favoured mode of transportation in Alcan. Nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to drive to from any home in this area, and it is very convenient to park. However, commuting by transit can be sometimes difficult in Alcan as a result of the low service level. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties.
