The neighbourhood of Allison is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

The best method to get around in Allison is usually driving. It is convenient to access a parking spot, and many houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. However, Allison is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. Commuting by bicycle is at times challenging in this part of the city as the cycling infrastructure is rather poor, and there are a fair number of elevation changes. Walking is also not very common in Allison, even though running common errands is easy without the use of a vehicle.
