Albion Falls

Part of the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Albion Falls is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario.

Transportation

This area is particularly car friendly. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as Red Hill Valley Parkway, from anywhere in Albion Falls, and finding a parking spot is generally easy. However, commuting by public transit is challenging in Albion Falls. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are typically around the corner. Although biking is better in some sectors than others, Albion Falls is not especially bicycling-friendly as cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes, and the bicycling network is somewhat poor. Traveling on foot is also not very practical for house buyers in this part of Hamilton as few daily errands can be run without the need for a car.

Services

Getting to the nearest supermarket without a car is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in Albion Falls. A limited selection of coffee shops can be found as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a reasonably short distance to get to primary schools from most properties for sale in this part of Hamilton. In contrast, this area does not have any high schools.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Albion Falls. It is very easy to get to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in and numerous houses have a park very close by. This area remains relatively quiet, since there are very few people out and about on the streets.

Housing

About one third of homes in Albion Falls were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood while the remainder are rented. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
