Hornby is a neighbourhood within Halton Hills, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. Parking is quite easy, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are especially easy to drive to from anywhere in Hornby. However, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this area, even though many daily errands can be run without a car. The bike is a mode of transportation in Hornby because the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Nevertheless, cyclists do not encounter significant slopes, and cycling is more practical in certain pockets than others.

Services

It is very rarely an option for property owners in Hornby to buy their groceries without a vehicle. Nonetheless, it is generally a short distance to the closest pharmacy, which can provide some staple foods. There are also a few restaurants and coffee shops in this neighbourhood. As far as education is concerned, there are only a few primary schools in Hornby and consequently they can be a rather long trip away.
