Old University is a neighbourhood within Guelph, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Guelph metropolitan area.

Transportation

Getting around by foot is reasonably practical for property owners in this part of the city; many common errands can be run without a car. Commuting by bicycle is also convenient in Old University. Public transit riders may experience few choices in Old University as a result of the infrequent service. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. However, the best mode of transportation in this part of the city is usually a car. It is straightforward to come across a place to park, and the majority of homes for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate that no matter where their house is located in Old University, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, it can be challenging to access high schools as a pedestrian. Families benefit from public and private primary schools. In terms of eating, some, but not all, property owners in Old University will reside within a short distance of the closest grocery store. However, this part of the city is a good place in which to eat out.

Character

Old University is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm ambience. This part of Guelph is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
