Devonshire

The neighbourhood of Devonshire can be found in the city of Windsor, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Windsor metropolitan area.

Transportation

Devonshire is especially car friendly. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as E C Row Expressway, and it is very convenient to park. In contrast, getting around by transit can be challenging in this part of Windsor as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Walking is not very common in Devonshire, despite the fact that many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. However, it is easy to commute by bicycle in Devonshire because cyclists do not face serious hills.

Services

Parents and their children will value that no matter where their home is situated in Devonshire, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, families may consider it difficult to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Concerning eating, some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the city will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket. There are also around 40 restaurants and coffee shops in this part of Windsor.

Character

Devonshire offers a very good selection of green spaces to enjoy. Parks, including Devonwood Conservation Area and Captain Wilson, are very well-spread out and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to check out, resulting in them being very easy to reach from numerous locations in Devonshire. As there are few people out and about on the streets, this neighbourhood is relatively quiet, although those who are closer to the railway line or E C Row Expressway may experience higher levels of noise.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about 85% of the units in Devonshire and the rest are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this area. The homes in this part of Windsor are quite new, because about 30% of its dwellings were constructed in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
