Transportation

This neighbourhood is an excellent neighbourhood with respect to travelling without a car. Ryerson will appeal to physically active people because it is very conducive to those who travel by foot; running daily errands is especially convenient, and numerous businesses are very close by. Ryerson is also an extremely pleasant part of Toronto for cyclists. In particular, the cycling infrastructure is well-developed, and there is generally a bike-share station close by. With Dundas Station on the Yonge - University Line, and a few nearby bus lines, house buyers can depend on public transit to get around in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, driving is a somewhat poor transportation option in this part of Toronto. That being said, it is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from any home in Ryerson.

Services

It is very convenient to get to both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from most homes for sale in Ryerson. Likewise, those who like to eat out won't have to walk far in this neighbourhood, where about 20 restaurants and a few cafes are available, for example on Yonge Street. There is not much greenery in this part of Toronto; however, parks are very easy to get to since there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

In this neighbourhood, the overwhelming majority of buildings are large apartment buildings, and the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. Roughly 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.
