In addition, there are a few restaurants and a few cafes to experience in Casa Loma. Casa Loma has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Finding vibrant areas in this neighbourhood is easy. Despite the fact that there is a narrow selection of entertainment venues, there are many people around most of the time, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by. Casa Loma is quiet, as the streets tend to be reasonably tranquil, however noise can be bothersome near the railway line. The greenery in this part of Toronto is quite prominent; it is very easy to access green spaces from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to enjoy. Residents will also find that there are numerous tree-lined streets.

Large apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing about one third of dwellings in Casa Loma, and the remaining homes are mainly small apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses.
