Greenery is very present in this part of the city as there are numerous tree-lined streets. Public green spaces are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to explore, making them very easy to get to. This neighbourhood is also reasonably good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

In Bloor West Village, around 60% of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of Toronto is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly three quarters of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. Most homes in this neighbourhood were built before the 1960s, during its most significant construction boom.
