House owners benefit from a few bus lines, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most properties. This part of Toronto will also appeal to people who value being able to walk to everything since it is pedestrian-friendly; many daily errands can be run without the need to use a vehicle, and numerous businesses are close at hand. The bike is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Yorkdale as the bicycling network is not very well-developed. Character

Yorkdale offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy, despite its sometimes busy feel. To be more specific, a large number of locations within the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, such as Caledonia Park, since there are a few of them close by for residents to visit. Despite the abundance of green spaces, few tree-lined streets are prominent. Lastly, this part of Toronto is a great area for those who aren't bothered by a little noise, as during busy hours, traffic can occasionally be loud.

The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing about 30% of dwellings in this area, and the remaining homes are mainly single detached homes.
