The neighbourhood of Vales of Humber can be found in the city of Brampton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured way to navigate this area is very often a car. It is especially convenient to find a place to park. In contrast, Vales of Humber is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. This part of Brampton is not very amenable to bicycling as the cycling infrastructure is quite bad, and there are a good number of slopes. It is also very inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate Vales of Humber because almost no common errands can be run on foot.

Services

There are only a limited number of primary schools in Vales of Humber and therefore they can be a rather long walk away. Additionally, this neighbourhood does not contain any high schools. Furthermore, it can be difficult to get to daycares on foot. Concerning eating, property owners in this part of Brampton almost always have to turn to a car to buy groceries.

Character

The character of Vales of Humber is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. This area is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, reaching public green spaces from most locations within the neighbourhood, such as Colonel Baldwin Pond and Carberry Park, is easy, since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to check out and most houses for sale have a park a short walk away.

Housing

In Vales of Humber, almost all dwellings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly townhouses. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood while renters occupy the remainder. Most homes in this part of Brampton were built after the year 2000, during its largest building boom.
