The neighbourhood of Town & Country can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area enables homeowners to move around by several alternative modes of transportation. Town & Country has a good public transit system. More specifically, residents have access to a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Town & Country will also draw active house buyers as it is convenient for walking; running daily errands is easy on foot, and plenty of businesses are quite nearby. Commuting by bicycle is easy in Town & Country since there are a limited number of hills to challenge cyclists.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a rather short walk away in Town & Country. Likewise, there are a fair number of opportunities in close proximity for those who care about restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, it is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from anywhere in this neighbourhood.

Character

Town & Country offers a wide variety of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant atmosphere. More specifically, most locations in the neighbourhood have good access to parks, such as Wishing Well Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover. The majority of parts of this neighbourhood are very calm and quiet, but some other areas can be noisy, especially closer to Highway 401.

Housing

About three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. In this part of Toronto, around 60% of buildings are single detached homes, but large apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Most homes in this area were built pre-1960, during its main building boom. This neighbourhood also has a good selection of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
