However, the public transit service in Rougemount is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are typically around the corner. Rougemount is rather appropriate for cycling. Many of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not especially suitable for those who like to travel on foot as few common errands can be run without a car.

Services

However, Rougemount does not contain any high schools. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools. As far as eating is concerned, it is very rarely practical for property owners in this neighbourhood to travel to the nearest grocery store without a car. Character

The character of Rougemount is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. This area is quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case close to the railway line or Highway 401. Finally, although the neighbourhood does not contain any parks, green spaces are especially well-spread out in nearby neighbourhoods, making it very easy to access them.

Housing

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing around three quarters of dwellings in Rougemount, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 45% of properties in this part of the city were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s. However this part of the city is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the dwellings in Rougemount and the remainder are rented.
