Transportation

Parkwoods offers house buyers the choice between a diversity of means of transportation. Travelling on foot is feasible for residents in Parkwoods; running common errands is easy. However, the bicycle is a sometimes poor means of transportation in this area because the cycling infrastructure is not particularly comprehensive, and there are a fair number of hills to challenge cyclists. The public transit network in this part of the city is practical. The neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Parkwoods is also very car friendly. Parking is easy, and it is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Don Valley Parkway, from any home in Parkwoods.

A supermarket is generally reachable within a rather short walk from anywhere in this part of Toronto. Parkwoods offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Greenery is very present in this area as there are numerous tree-lined streets. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Brookbanks Park, making them very easy to access from a large number of locations within Parkwoods. This area is also reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to Don Valley Parkway.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing roughly half of dwellings in Parkwoods, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses.
