This community is also reasonably appropriate for bicycling since riding is facilitated by the generally flat terrain. Milliken Mills is not particularly transit friendly. The greenery in this area is not very prominent; however, there are about 10 green spaces nearby for residents to visit and they are very well-spread out, making it easy to reach them. This area is also very good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic closer to Highway 404, Highway 407 or one of the railway lines.

In Milliken Mills, many dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining houses are mainly large apartment buildings and duplexes. This area also has a good variety of housing size options; it is quite easy to find houses ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
