The neighbourhood of Humbermede can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

With a few nearby bus lines, this area is quite transit friendly. On the other hand, travelling by foot is not very popular in Humbermede, although many daily needs can be carried out on foot. Biking is challenging in Humbermede because there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is rather poor. Nonetheless, bicycling is better in some pockets than others. In contrast, this area is very car friendly. It is a very short drive to the closest highway, such as Highway 400, from anywhere in Humbermede, and it is especially convenient to come across a parking spot.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their home is situated in Humbermede, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, Humbermede does not contain any high schools. In terms of food, getting to the closest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in this area. However, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited selection of coffee shops is available as well.

Character

There is a wide variety of green spaces in Humbermede. To be more precise, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in and they are especially well-spread out, making it very easy to access them from many locations in this part of Toronto. This area experienced its biggest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period. This neighbourhood also has a good selection of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
