Transportation

This part of Toronto provides home buyers with several alternative methods of transportation. Hillcrest Village is conducive to walking; most daily needs are easy to carry out on foot. Despite the fact that certain bicycling-friendly areas can be found, this part of the city is not particularly suited for biking since this neighbourhood has a rather poor cycling infrastructure, and there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave. The public transit system in Hillcrest Village is reasonably good. For example, residents benefit from about 10 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close. Cars are also an excellent means of transportation in this area. Housing

Over half of the housing stock of Hillcrest Village consists of single detached homes and townhouses, and the remaining dwellings are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This part of the city experienced its biggest building boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available housing is from this time period.
