Situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Glen Shields is a neighbourhood within Vaughan, Ontario.

Transportation

Cycling is easy in this neighbourhood. Walking is also quite convenient for property owners in this neighbourhood; running daily errands is easy. The public transit service in this part of the city is sometimes poor. Thankfully, there is Centre / Dufferin on the Viva Orange. There are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually nearby. However, getting around by car is very convenient in this neighbourhood. The majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is straightforward to park.

Services

Families will appreciate that no matter where their property is situated in this area, daycares and primary schools are close by. In contrast, Glen Shields does not have any high schools. In terms of food, a grocery store is usually accessible within a rather short walk from anywhere in this area. A limited variety of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.

Character

Glen Shields is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are peaceful.
