Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is quite easy to move around in Glen Park West. Glen Park West is very transit friendly by reason of many nearby rapid transit stations on the Yonge - University Line, and about 10 nearby bus lines. This neighbourhood is also a fairly convenient part of Toronto for pedestrians; many day-to-day needs can be carried out without having to use a car, and a variety of businesses are quite close by. Bicycling is at times difficult in Glen Park West since the bicycling infrastructure is not particularly comprehensive, and there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists.

Services

Daycares and schools are straightforward to walk to from anywhere in Glen Park West. Concerning eating, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this area. Likewise, there are a fair number of opportunities for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes. It is also straightforward to get to a selection of clothing stores on foot, for example on Dufferin Street.

Character

The character of Glen Park West is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This part of the city features a good amount of greenery as many tree-lined streets are prominent.
