Eringate

Eringate is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

With a few nearby bus lines, the public transit network in Eringate is reasonably convenient. Even though the topography is reasonably flat, and riding a bike is more practical in certain sectors than others, it is at times challenging to travel by bike in this neighbourhood since the bicycling network is fairly poor. It is sometimes difficult for pedestrians to navigate this area because common amenities such as barbers or hardware stores can be an occasionally long walk away. In contrast, driving is a great means of transportation in Eringate. Many homes for sale are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is easy to park.

Services

A supermarket is usually accessible within a reasonably short walk from any home in Eringate. There are also a few options for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity. As far as education is concerned, parents and their schoolchildren will value that no matter where their property is situated in Eringate, schools and daycares are nearby.

Character

One of the highlights of Eringate is its wide selection of green spaces. More specifically, there are about 10 parks nearby for residents to explore and they are very well-situated, resulting in them being very easy to access from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. Thanks to the presence of few pedestrians, this part of the city remains relatively quiet, although noise levels are higher closer to Highway 401 or Highway 427.

Housing

In Eringate, most dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. This part of Toronto offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 85% of the properties in the neighbourhood and 15% are rented. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era.
