East Woodbridge

The neighbourhood of East Woodbridge is part of the city of Vaughan, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The best mode of transportation in East Woodbridge is very often driving. It is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Highway 400, from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and parking is easy. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is challenging in this area. Nevertheless, homeowners can count on plenty of rapid transit stations on the orange | VIVA ORANGE. House owners are served by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Walking is not very popular in this area, even though most daily needs are convenient to meet without having to use a car. The bike is a sometimes poor method of transportation in East Woodbridge since there are a fair number of elevation changes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

Accessing one of about 10 grocery stores by walking is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in this area. There are also a limited number of choices for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach daycares and schools from most properties for sale in this part of the city.

Character

East Woodbridge is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. There are around 40 green spaces close by for residents to discover, like Doctors McLean District Park and Jersey Creek Open Space, and they are very well-situated, which makes it easy to access them. This neighbourhood is also good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder sections, especially near Highway 407, Highway 400 or the railway line.

Housing

Most housing in East Woodbridge was constructed in the 1980s, during its biggest building boom. In this neighbourhood, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
