Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Doncrest is a neighbourhood within Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Transportation

Biking is easy in this part of the town. House buyers who appreciate walkability will also welcome the reasonably pedestrian-friendly nature of this area; many daily needs can be met without a vehicle. This part of Richmond Hill is very car friendly. Nearby highways, such as Highway 407, are easy to reach from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is easy to access a place to park. In contrast, commuting by public transit is sometimes difficult in this area. Nevertheless, rapid transit stations, such as Hwy 7 / Valleymede, Highway 7 / Chalmers Rd and Highway 7 / South Park Rd on the Viva Purple, are not particularly far away from the majority of residences in the neighbourhood. Homeowners are served by approximately 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by.

Services

It is a short trip to access daycares and primary schools from anywhere in Doncrest. In contrast, Doncrest does not have any high schools. Residents are served by public and private primary schools. As far as food is concerned, the closest supermarket in Doncrest is generally only a rather short stroll away. Furthermore, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a small number of cafes is available as well.

Doncrest offers a calm ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. Parks are easy to access since there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out. This part of the town is very quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.
