Countryside Villages

The neighbourhood of Countryside Villages can be found in the city of Brampton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Countryside Villages is an extremely convenient part of Brampton for getting around by car. It is very easy to park, and many properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 410. On the other hand, this area is not an especially pleasant part of Brampton for moving around by public transit. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is typically very close. Most houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not very conducive to walking because running common errands is inconvenient on foot. Although certain bike-friendly pockets exist, commuting by bicycle is also at times difficult in Countryside Villages as there are a fair number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is rather poor.

Services

Some, but not all, property owners in this part of the city will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket. Residents benefit from approximately 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well. With respect to education, it is a rather short walk to reach primary schools from anywhere in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, Countryside Villages does not have any high schools.

Character

Countryside Villages is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. There are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to explore, including Tasker Pond and Sesquicentennial Park, and they are very well-distributed, making them easy to get to. This part of Brampton is quiet overall, as the streets tend to be reasonably calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially around Highway 410.

Housing

Most of the housing growth in Countryside Villages has happened following the year 2000. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this neighbourhood. Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the dwellings in Countryside Villages and the rest are rented. This neighbourhood also has a variety of unit sizes; there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood.
