This neighbourhood offers home buyers several alternative modes of transportation. Alderwood is home to a good transit network. More precisely, there is the Long Branch with access to the Lakeshore West. There are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Alderwood is also rather well-suited for people who travel as pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. Bicycling is convenient in Alderwood as cyclists do not face significant elevation changes.
