Val Therese

Part of the Greater Sudbury metropolitan area, Val Therese is a community within Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

Transportation

Val Therese is a very good part of Greater Sudbury for driving. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot. However, public transit riders may experience few choices in Val Therese by reason of the low service level. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the community, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. Val Therese is not especially conducive to biking because the bicycling infrastructure is fairly poor. Nevertheless, cyclists do not face serious slopes. It is also challenging for pedestrians to move around in Val Therese since running common errands is inconvenient without a car.

Services

Parents and their children will value that no matter where their property is located in Val Therese, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Val Therese. With regards to eating, a vehicle is generally needed in this part of the city to access the closest grocery store. A limited number of restaurants can be found in Val Therese.

Roughly one third of properties in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the city offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Nearly 90% of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented.
