Transportation

Getting around by car is especially convenient in Pido. The city block layout is rather amenable to driving, and it is very easy to come across a parking spot. However, residents using public transit may find limited choices in Pido due to the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. Although a few pleasant areas for bicycling can be found, the bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in Pido because the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and there are a fair number of slopes. It is also impractical for people walking to move around in Pido because running daily errands is at times challenging without the use of a car.

Pido does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, parents and their schoolchildren may find it difficult to get to daycares by walking. With respect to eating, some, but not all, property owners in this part of Peterborough will live within a short distance of the nearest grocery store. Residents are served by a few restaurants and coffee shops as well.

Noise can sometimes be an issue in this neighbourhood, as during busier hours of the day, traffic can occasionally be loud.

About 40% of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 1990s.
