The neighbourhood of Vanier is part of the city of Oshawa, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Oshawa metropolitan area.

Transportation

Traveling as a pedestrian is moderately practical for home buyers in Vanier; meeting daily needs is easy without a car, and many businesses are rather close at hand. This part of the city is also fairly appropriate for cycling. The transit in Vanier is somewhat poor. Nevertheless, there are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are typically very close by. On the other hand, the best method of transportation in Vanier is usually a car. Most homes for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is easy to come across a place to park.
