Lambeth

The neighbourhood of Lambeth is part of the city of London, Ontario, which is located in the Greater London metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the best transportation option in Lambeth. Coming across a parking spot is easy, and the majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 402. However, the public transit service in Lambeth is fairly poor. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. Bicycling is easy in Lambeth because the cycling infrastructure is quite comprehensive, and there are a limited number of elevation changes. Walking is not very practical for house buyers in Lambeth as many day-to-day needs are inconvenient to meet on foot.

Services

It is a rather short walk to access primary schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this part of the city. In contrast, Lambeth does not contain any high schools. Parents are served by public and private primary schools. With respect to eating, some, but not all, property owners in Lambeth will live within walking distance of the closest grocery store. There are also a few options for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes.

Character

Lambeth is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. There are a few green spaces close by for residents to check out, including Graham Place Park and Sandra McInnis Woods, and they are very well-distributed, making them easy to get to. This area is also very good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue near Highway 402.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Lambeth is an important part of its character. Roughly 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of London offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 20% are renters.
