The former municipality of Old Hamilton is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

No matter the medium of transportation, it is simple to get around in this part of Hamilton. With 2 train stations (for instance, West Harbour and Hamilton Go Centre) on the Lakeshore West, and about 40 nearby bus lines, this area is quite transit friendly. It is also convenient for pedestrians to navigate this part of Hamilton; many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a car, and various businesses are quite close by. Bicycling is easy in this area.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their home is located in this part of Hamilton, schools and daycares are nearby. Families are served by public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level.
