Part of the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, La Salle is a neighbourhood within Burlington, Ontario.

Transportation

The favoured way to navigate La Salle is usually driving. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 407, from anywhere in this area, and it is very convenient to park. However, the public transit system in this part of the city is not particularly convenient. Nonetheless, residents profit from the Aldershot with access to the Lakeshore West. There are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of Burlington, although many common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. Travelling by bicycle is also at times difficult in La Salle as there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is rather limited. Nevertheless, certain enjoyable areas for cycling can be found.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are straightforward to get to on foot from anywhere in La Salle. On the other hand, families may find it challenging to get to high schools as a pedestrian. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. Regarding eating, it is rarely practical for home buyers in La Salle to do grocery shopping on foot.
