Grayside is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. Character

Grayside offers a wide variety of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant atmosphere. Accessing parks in the neighbourhood, such as Barton St/Lake Ave Open Space, is very easy since there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out. Since there are few people out and about on the streets, this area remains relatively quiet, although those who are closer to the railway line or Queen Elizabeth Way may experience higher levels of noise.

Around one third of homes in Grayside were built between 1980 and 1990, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. In this neighbourhood, many dwellings are single detached homes. Homeowners occupy about two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood while renters occupy the remainder.
